Moreschi shoes have a slightly comfortable fit: we recommend choosing half a size smaller than your usual size

Rennes is a men's slip-on in brushed calfskin with a peccary upper, available in black and deep blue. Crafted with Blake construction and a leather sole, it brings peccary's rarity and softness to the slip-on format — interpreting the laceless shoe in its most materially precious form.

The peccary upper delivers the softest and most adaptive fit of any material in the Moreschi Heritage collection. The leather conforms to the foot without resistance, with a fluidity that sets this model apart from calfskin or suede loafers in the same category. Brushed calfskin on the toe creates a calibrated material contrast — more compact and luminous compared to peccary's porous, irregular surface — that structures the shoe visually with balance. The near-invisible Blake stitching keeps the upper surface clean and continuous. The leather sole closes the model with a formal profile consistent with the chosen materials.

Rennes pairs with contemporary tailored suits, elegant non-ceremonial looks and occasion outfits that call for something rarer than ordinary calfskin. For a single monk shoe in peccary, the range includes Caen; for a classic Oxford, explore the Arles model. The outfit can be completed with the Lione peccary belt.

Rennes is the capital of Brittany — a university city, reserved, with a history of craftsmanship and a quietly high quality of life. A name that suits a slip-on that needs no explanation.

Other formal slip-ons can be found in the Moreschi Loafers selection.

Care

Combining elegance and softness, brushed calf and peccary leather require distinct care.

Clean brushed calf with a slightly damp soft cloth and finish with a small amount of neutral wax, gently polishing the surface. For peccary leather, use a soft-bristled brush and, if needed, apply a specific neutral balm for delicate leathers—always avoiding excess product.

Store the shoes in a dry place, away from direct light and heat sources. Wooden shoe trees are recommended to maintain structure and shape.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
