Moreschi shoes have a slightly comfortable fit: we recommend choosing half a size smaller than your usual size

Arles is a men's Oxford in brushed calfskin with a peccary upper, available in deep black and burgundy bordeaux. Crafted with Blake construction and a leather sole, is a ceremony and special occasion shoe that requires no sacrifice in terms of comfort.

Burgundy bordeaux is the tone that sets Arles apart from the other models in the peccary family within the Moreschi Heritage Collection. It's colour that brings an unusual and precise chromatic accent to formal footwear — not conspicuous, but immediately distinguishable to those who look. The peccary upper, naturally elastic with a porous and irregular texture, delivers a fit that settles quickly. Brushed calfskin on the structural parts adds solidity and material contrast. Blake construction ensures flexibility and durability. The leather sole completes the model with the profile appropriate to its ceremonial purpose.

Arles is the choice for those who want to stand out at ceremonies with something rarer than ordinary calfskin Oxford shoes. It pairs with tailored suits, dark formal attire and white tie. For peccary lovers, the family also includes the Caen single-monk and the Nimes ceremony derby. The matching belt is Lione.

Arles is Van Gogh's city — southern light, intense colour, a beauty that does not conceal itself. The burgundy bordeaux of this model carries exactly that same chromatic certainty.

Care

Combining elegance and softness, brushed calf and peccary leather require distinct care.

Clean brushed calf with a slightly damp soft cloth and finish with a small amount of neutral wax, gently polishing the surface. For peccary leather, use a soft-bristled brush and, if needed, apply a specific neutral balm for delicate leathers—always avoiding excess product.

Store the shoes in a dry place, away from direct light and heat sources. Wooden shoe trees are recommended to maintain structure and shape.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
