Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Budapest Buffalo is a men's three-eyelet derby in black buffalo leather. It has an open lacing construction, a stitched cap toe, and a more relaxed character than an Oxford.

The upper in black buffalo calfskin is fully leather-lined, keeping the foot breathable and comfortable through a long day. The cap-toe stitch, classic to the model, houses a discreetly hot-stamped Moreschi logo. What defines the character of the leather is buffalo calfskin's pronounced, irregular grain: no two hides are alike, and that natural variation is part of its value over smooth calfskin.

A leather sole and Blake construction complete the build, giving a fit that improves with wear and a dressy, formal profile. Budapest Buffalo pairs with tailored suits, wool trousers and business-casual looks, covering a wider range than the Varsavia Buffalo Oxford, with which it shares its leather and construction.

Pair it with the Bradford belt in black calfskin. For daily wear in any weather, Strasburgo and Edimburgo offer the same grain on a rubber sole.

Budapest takes its name from the union of two cities divided by the Danube, Buda and Pest, merged into a single identity in 1873: a duality that found balance without losing its differences. This Moreschi derby carries the same instinct for synthesis, between formality and everyday wear.

Care

Buffalo leather is valued for its pronounced grain and natural durability. To preserve its authentic appearance and softness, clean the shoes regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a fine-bristled brush.

When needed, apply a small amount of high-quality neutral wax to nourish the leather and protect it from external agents. Spread the product gently without applying too much pressure to avoid altering the grain.

Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or humidity. Store in a dry place with wooden shoe trees to maintain shape and promote natural breathability.

For more thorough care, consult a skilled shoemaker.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
