Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Phoenix Grain is a men's double monk strap in grained calfskin built to move between the office and dressier occasions. The two polished brass buckles with nickel finish, personalised with the Moreschi engraving on the keeper, are the detail that signs this shoe from the Autumn/Winter 2026 Collection.

Phoenix Grain is available in black and dark blue. The upper's natural grain is set off by an elegant broguing at the toe that elongates the silhouette.

Fully leather-lined, Phoenix Grain is built on traditional Blake construction for lightness, flexibility and long-term durability. The Extralight rubber sole rounds out the design with a solid balance of cushioning and stability, keeping the shoe's formal register intact through the colder months.

Phoenix Grain pairs well with business-casual tailoring, dress trousers, premium denim and winter outerwear. It finds a suitable companion in the Wisdom Grain belt, with a brass buckle.

Phoenix is an Arizona city built over the canals of the ancient Hohokam civilization, in the heart of the Sonoran Desert — named in the nineteenth century precisely to evoke a settlement rising again over its own ruins. A quality that suits a double monk strap that reinterprets a tailoring classic without betraying its substance.

Those after a single buckle in a rarer leather within the Moreschi Monk Strap range, might find their choice in Caen Peccary.

Care

Shoes made from grained calfskin require careful maintenance to preserve their natural grain and suppleness over time. Use a soft cloth or fine-bristled brush to remove dust and debris.

To nourish the leather and maintain its elasticity, apply a neutral wax periodically, massaging it in with gentle circular motions. Avoid pigmented polishes that could alter the leather’s uniform appearance.

Store in a dry, well-ventilated place and use wooden shoe trees to help maintain the original shape.

For deeper cleaning or specific treatments, professional care is recommended.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
