Color: Black

Oglio Saffiano is a horizontal wallet in calfskin. The print presses a fine, regular diamond pattern into the leather, which makes the surface less likely to show marks from the daily friction of a pocket or wallet.

The exterior is understated, marked only by the hot-stamped Moreschi "scarpini" logo in the right corner. Inside, eight card slots, four on each side, sit alongside four interior pockets, two on each side, useful for receipts or small documents. A roomy note compartment completes the structure, lined in Moreschi's black "scarpini"-pattern fabric.

This men's wallet measures 11 x 9.5 cm (4.33" x 3.74") closed and 21 x 9.5 cm (8.27" x 3.74") open. The horizontal cut suits an inside jacket pocket better than a back trouser pocket, where the wider shape would be uncomfortable to sit on.

Of the two colors available, black is the more predictable choice for everyday use in a jacket; dark blue serves the same function in a shade that stands out just slightly more against anything that isn't fully dark.

Anyone who prefers a vertical cut can look at Adige Saffiano, which offers the same capacity in a different shape. On travel days, it pairs naturally with the Adda Saffiano passport holder.

The name "Oglio" comes from the river in Lombardy that rises at Ponte di Legno, runs through Val Camonica, slows through Lake Iseo, then continues on to the Po.

Care

Moreschi leather accessories are crafted from surface-treated leathers, finished to provide greater resistance to scratches and everyday wear compared to untreated smooth leather. Nappa, used in the production of gloves, is a soft, untreated leather: more delicate to the touch, it requires the same care but with even lighter handling.

For routine maintenance:

1. Remove dust and surface residue by gently wiping with a clean, dry cotton cloth. For nappa, follow the grain of the leather with light strokes to avoid altering the surface.
2. For small fresh stains, dab — do not rub! — with a cloth lightly dampened with clean water. Allow to dry at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.

Do not use shoe cream, solvents, alcohol-based products or sprays not specifically formulated for these leathers: they can alter the surface finish or permanently stain the leather.

Store accessories in a dry place, away from heat and direct light, preferably in the original dust bag.

For more thorough treatment — persistent stain removal, rehydration or colour restoration — consult a specialist in the care of fine leather goods.
