Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Calvi Suede is a men's loafer in dark blue suede calfskin, hand-stitched throughout according to Italian artisanal tradition. Part of the Moreschi Heritage Footwear collection, it stands out for an almond-toe silhouette — a shape that extends the line of the foot with restraint and gives the loafer a contemporary feel within its classic framework.

The dark blue suede adds tonal depth to the upper, while the leather lining ensures breathability and a precise fit even after extended wear. Blake construction delivers structural flexibility and long-term durability. The leather sole completes the shoe with a formal, consistent profile.

The clean silhouette and colour choice make Calvi a versatile pairing: from wool or lightweight cotton suits to tailored trousers, chino and more relaxed smart casual outfits. The same shape is also available in deerskin.

Calvi takes its name from the Corsican bay on the Mediterranean — a landscape of pale rock and deep water. A name that suits a shoe equally at home in formal settings and open days.

Care

Suede is a refined material that requires specific attention to retain its velvety texture. Remove dust and dirt with a suede-specific brush using gentle, even strokes. For stains, use a suede eraser or a mild dedicated cleaner.

Avoid using waxes or polishes, as these can compromise the natural look of the suede. Apply a neutral waterproofing spray periodically to protect against moisture and stains.

Store in a dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight. Use wooden shoe trees to help preserve the shape.

For precise care, professional assistance is recommended.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
