Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Calvi Deer is a men's loafer in black deerskin — a variant of the Calvi model that brings the natural softness and flexibility of deerskin to the same almond-toe silhouette. It delivers a fit that adapts quickly to the shape of the foot, offering immediate comfort from the first wear.

Deerskin, with its soft grain and elastic structure, gives the upper a less formal character than calfskin — more fluid, closer to the body. The leather lining ensures breathability and sustained comfort throughout the day. Blake construction, hand-executed in the Italian tradition, provides flexibility and durability. The leather sole maintains a composed, quality profile.

Calvi Deer moves naturally towards smart casual and structured casual contexts: it pairs with lightweight tailored trousers, chino, quality denim or linen summer suits. The name Calvi belongs to a coastline that alternates rock and stillness — something defined but without rigidity. Precisely the character of this shoe.

The suede version of the same model is available. Those looking for an unlined deerskin loafer can explore the Moreschi Loafers section.

Care

Naturally soft and elastic, deer requires regular, delicate care to maintain its unique characteristics. Gently clean the shoes with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface residue.

To nourish the leather without affecting the grain, occasionally apply a small amount of high-quality neutral wax, distributing it gently and evenly. Avoid harsh or overly rich products that could weigh down the material.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light, using wooden shoe trees to maintain shape.

For more advanced treatments, consult an expert cobbler.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
