SMIRNE LEGS

Smirne Legs is a men's Derby in calfskin with tonal ostrich leg leather inserts, available in a single dark blue colourway. It is the more refined, more exclusive take on Smirne Calf, keeping its silhouette, four-eyelet lacing and toe medallion, while adding the understated charm of an exotic leather.

The ostrich leg leather appears around the lacing and along the upper edge of the vamp, where the leather's natural pattern creates a textural contrast against the smooth calfskin, without disturbing the model's essential elegance. The hot-stamped Moreschi logo completes the detailing with discretion.

Fully lined in calfskin, Smirne Legs is built with traditional Blake construction and a leather sole with visible stitching, a combination that delivers elegance, flexibility and comfort in equal measure. The finishing is entirely done by hand: after the sole is attached and stitched, the upper is worked with creams and repeated brushing, a process that deepens the colour and brings out the sheen typical of Moreschi's more formal footwear. The model is built on the historic CN last, one of the most representative in the Moreschi archive for its balanced proportions.

The open lacing makes Smirne Legs slightly more versatile than the Rostov Legs oxford, letting it move just as naturally between business suits and tailored outfits as it does through ceremonies and events where the materials and the detailing make all the difference. The Brasile Calf belt, in full-grain calfskin, completes the look in the same material register.

Smirne is the Italian name for the ancient city on the Aegean, today's İzmir: for centuries a port and trading crossroads between East and West, accustomed to bringing different materials and cultures together. A heritage this version makes even more explicit, in the meeting of calfskin with a leather that comes from somewhere else.
