Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Limoges Patent is a men's ceremony slip-on in black patent leather with a grosgrain band, crafted with Blake construction and a leather sole. It's a shoe designed for important occasionsblack tie, galas, formal events where footwear is an integral part of the outfit and cannot afford imprecision.

Black patent leather guarantees a glossy, uniform surface that reflects light continuously, without matte zones or tonal variations. The grosgrain band — a ribbed fabric with a textile texture — adds a discreet accent across the upper, evoking the tradition of men's evening footwear without replicating it literally. Blake construction joins the components with an ultra-fine, near-invisible thread: the shoe appears built in a single piece, with no discontinuities. The flexible leather sole completes the model with the profile appropriate to ceremony wear.

Limoges from the Moreschi Heritage Footwear Collection is the natural choice for those pairing black tie and seeking a shoe that responds with the same formal care.

Limoges is the French city of porcelain — materials brought to their highest luminosity through firing and care. A reference that belongs naturally to a shoe whose primary quality is the perfection of its surface.

For a patent leather ceremony derby, the Moreschi range includes Lille. Those looking for a formal calfskin Oxford for less strict occasions can explore our Patent Leather selection.

Care

Patent leather stands out for its glossy shine and refined character. To preserve its brilliance and prevent cracking or dull patches, gently clean the surface with a slightly damp soft cloth, then dry with a clean, dry cloth.

Do not use waxes, creams, or solvent-based products, as they may damage the glossy finish. To restore shine and protect the surface, you may occasionally apply a dedicated product formulated specifically for patent leather.

Store away from heat and humidity, avoiding prolonged contact with other surfaces that could leave marks. Wooden shoe trees are recommended to preserve shape.

For scuff repair or shine restoration, professional care is advised.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
