Moreschi shoes are traditionally comfortable: we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size

Baku Grain is a men's loafer in black pebble-grained calfskin, crafted with Blake construction and a rubber sole. This model from the Moreschi Heritage Footwear collection, it interprets the everyday loafer with the material depth of pebble grain — a leather with a structured surface that adds visual dimension to the silhouette without resorting to decorative details.

Pebble-grained calfskin combines softness and presence: the natural grain is visible and tactilely perceptible, but does not compromise the cleanliness of the form. The fit is enveloping and comfortable, suited to intensive daily use. Blake construction delivers flexibility and structural stability. The rubber sole opts for urban functionality — grip, durability and walking comfort on asphalt — confirming Baku as the reference loafer for those who wear their shoes every day, not just for occasions.

Baku moves between business casual, structured casual and weekend wear — it pairs with lightweight wool trousers, chino and quality denim.

Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan on the Caspian — a city that built a modern identity on deep roots, with an architectural quality that is genuinely uncommon. A fitting reference for a loafer that brings solid material presence to an essential form.

For the same model in suede calfskin, the Moreschi Loafer selection includes Baku Suede.

Care

Shoes made from grained calfskin require careful maintenance to preserve their natural grain and suppleness over time. Use a soft cloth or fine-bristled brush to remove dust and debris.

To nourish the leather and maintain its elasticity, apply a neutral wax periodically, massaging it in with gentle circular motions. Avoid pigmented polishes that could alter the leather’s uniform appearance.

Store in a dry, well-ventilated place and use wooden shoe trees to help maintain the original shape.

For deeper cleaning or specific treatments, professional care is recommended.

Blake construction

The Blake construction is used for shoes with leather or rubber soles and ensures a secure bond between the upper, midsole, and outsole. After an initial phase of gluing and pressing, the sole is further reinforced with a single stitch made using a specialized Blake machine, which fastens the bottom of the shoe directly to the upper.

The result is a solid yet flexible shoe, ideal for refined everyday wear.
